C is for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome........

One misconception is that when one suffers for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome(CFS), they suffer just fatigue.  That is a myth.  There are several different symptons of CFS.  Here are just a few:

insomia(believe it or not)
stiff muscles
joint and muscular pain
sore throat
enlarged lymph nodes
poor concentration
poor memory
weakness
nausea
post-exertion malaise
headache of a new nature

This is just a short list.   Someone that says they suffer from CFS is more than just tired.  On top of all of that, most of these symptons are invisable and the emotional abuse that they suffer endure is unjustified.  I suffer from CFS and have been called many names including lazy.  CFS is a real disease.  Remember, they next person you talk to may have an invisable chronic illness so please be kinder than necessary, it may be the only smile they get that day.

Is there a test for CFS? I've been tested for thyroid issues and anemia but am not aware of CFS. Going for my check up in May....will definitely present this as a possibility. Thanks for stopping by my blog on the A-Z challenge!! It's fun meeting new bloggers!!

I suffer from Fibromyalgia, so I can completely relate to this post. Some times people don't understand the complexities of auto-immune diseases, and the fact that these diseases affect our entire being.

I suffer from several auto-immune diseases and most are unfortunately misunderstood and misdiagnosed. Thank you Keena for sharing the realities of CFS and the emotional toll it can take, even indirectly through others assumptions. Have a blessed day.
