Bowling Tournament

My husband and I are in the SC State Bowling Tournament this weekend.  This is my 1st tourney ever. I am a new bowler.  I am going in with a 94 average, but usually bowl at least 102 or greater.  It's going to be fun.  I am taken the place of one member that had to drop out due to vertigo.  Now, understand this one point.  I will be hurting after I bowl. For one, it has been a few weeks since I bowled due to my knee injury.  When I practised it was killer on my body. Second, bowling usually does make me hurt with the Fibromyalgia  and Arthritis.  I will just take a day or two afterwards to chill.  I really enjoy bowling although I am not too good at it.  It gets me out. I use my muscles. I socialize with my friends.  I do have some "payback" time, but every thing I do has that. SO, I try to do a little at a time, then rest and try to enjoy as much as I can and not let my illnesses ruin my life
I hope all have a great weekend and I will post pics when we return home.

Hi Keena - thanks for the note you left on my blog, and thank you for visiting! I too used to have a real weakness for food, and it has taken a couple of years to get beyond that. It has been a process, not something that happened overnight. However, the more I read, the more convinced I am that food/diet/weight issues are at the core of our health. Losing weight and changing my diet has helped improve many of my symptoms. Now all I need to do is look at a piece of cake or pastry and say "that will make me sick" - and that's enough, I no longer want it. I recommend taking a look at the books by Dr Sherry Rogers (see: http://prestigepublishing.com/cgi-bin/start.cgi/apps/cartcompanion/category.html) You may never want to eat processed food again! I'm not claiming that diet alone has all the answers - but it is certainly one piece of the puzzle.

Hey Keena, you just knock em dead. Arthritis, Hmm, Try "Devils claw." Over here there is a herbal remedy available for all sorts of ailments, Lennon's, and when I was having problems with my joints tried this. It seem'd to work. God bless you my friend, Geoff.

Keena, I was bowling on Mom's day with my boys and felt a little knee twist. So, be careful. Enjoy it! And, yes, it's worth the risk to get out there and socialize. Also, I read that you're opening up to be a "Big Sister". Cool! I hope you have a great match-up.
