Bowling Fun!!!!

I had a great time this weekend bowling in the SC State Championship Tournament.  At first I was kinda scared.  I have never bowled in a tournament.  I have just been bowling on a league for a year.  I thought I just wasn't good enough.  I didn't quite comprehend the handicap part of the score.  So far, I am ranked 2nd in all events,  ranked 3rd for team event, and ranked 1st in doubles.  My average is 94 but I bowled over average for 8 of the 9 games.  My scores for 4 of the games were over 120. I even bowled 2 140's +.  I am so happy that I decided to do this.  However, physically it about killed me.  9 games in 2 days are rough.  The 2nd day I was hurting so bad in my left leg that I actually had to take pain killers just to keep in the game and not forfeit.  Today I am sore but not like yesterday.  This week I will rest.  I plan to take it easy for the next couple of days to allow my body to recoup.  I pray that all of you had a great weekend.  I sure did!!!

Have a fun filled and Blessed week!!!!

Bowling Tournament

My husband and I are in the SC State Bowling Tournament this weekend.  This is my 1st tourney ever. I am a new bowler.  I am going in with a 94 average, but usually bowl at least 102 or greater.  It's going to be fun.  I am taken the place of one member that had to drop out due to vertigo.  Now, understand this one point.  I will be hurting after I bowl. For one, it has been a few weeks since I bowled due to my knee injury.  When I practised it was killer on my body. Second, bowling usually does make me hurt with the Fibromyalgia  and Arthritis.  I will just take a day or two afterwards to chill.  I really enjoy bowling although I am not too good at it.  It gets me out. I use my muscles. I socialize with my friends.  I do have some "payback" time, but every thing I do has that. SO, I try to do a little at a time, then rest and try to enjoy as much as I can and not let my illnesses ruin my life
I hope all have a great weekend and I will post pics when we return home.
